Korean Facial Treatments

Your safety and skin health are our highest priority. Korean facials involve multiple steps such as cleansing, exfoliation, massage, masks, extractions, and in some cases skincare devices. Certain conditions may make all or part of a facial unsafe or require modifications.

CLIENT DISCLOSURE RESPONSIBILITY

I understand that it is my responsibility to inform my esthetician before each treatment of any current or past conditions that may affect my skin or overall health, including but not limited to:

• Active skin infections (bacterial, viral, or fungal), including cold sores
• Open wounds, cuts, abrasions, or unhealed procedures
• Skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis, or severe acne
• Sunburn, windburn, or compromised skin barrier
• Recent cosmetic or medical procedures (laser, chemical peel, microneedling, surgery)
• History of skin cancer or suspicious lesions
• Pregnancy or nursing status
• Pacemakers, implanted medical devices, or metal implants
• Epilepsy or seizure disorders
• Autoimmune conditions or uncontrolled diabetes
• Recent illness, fever, vaccination, or COVID infection

MEDICATION & PRODUCT USE DISCLOSURE

I understand that certain medications and skincare products may increase skin sensitivity or risk of injury. I agree to disclose use of:

• Isotretinoin (Accutane) within the past 6–12 months
• Topical or oral retinoids (tretinoin, adapalene, retinol)
• Blood-thinning medications or supplements
• Steroid creams or injections
• Prescription acne, rosacea, or pigmentation treatments
• Recent Botox, dermal fillers, or threads

TREATMENT MODIFICATIONS & LIMITATIONS

I understand that if any contraindications are present, the esthetician may:

• Modify the treatment
• Omit certain steps (such as exfoliation, steam, massage, extractions, or devices)
• Substitute calming or restorative treatments
• Refuse service if treatment is deemed unsafe

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS

I acknowledge that even with proper assessment and care, skincare treatments may result in temporary side effects, including:

• Redness
• Sensitivity
• Mild swelling
• Breakouts
• Bruising (especially with massage or extractions)

CLIENT CONSENT & RELEASE

I confirm that all information I have provided is accurate and complete. I voluntarily consent to receive facial treatment and release the esthetician and business from liability for adverse reactions resulting from undisclosed conditions or medications.
